Ever since we initiated the Northeast Green Summit in 2016, experts from across the region and even our neighbouring countries have utilised this platform to deliberate on various environmental concerns of the region and its immediate vicinity.
The Summit 2019 took place with continuity and change in the choice of themes for discussion. Waste management was one such addition to the long list of topics. Panel of speakers in each session kept the audience spellbound and focused. Volley of questions by the participants after each session indicated their keen interest and concern for Northeast India specific solutions.
It gives me satisfaction to know that we have enlightened and keen participants who are the future of Northeast India.
The Northeast Green Summit 2019 has raised the bar higher for the next Summit to be held in 2020 and I appeal to all stakeholders to extend their hand of support to this much-needed initiative.
