- Vibgyor NE Foundation in collaboration with United Nations Environment (UNEP) and National Institute of Technology, Silchar organized the 6th Northeast Green Summit. The primary focus of the Summit was Greening after Covid: Regional Cooperation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship by bringing together stakeholders from all walks of life to share experiences and propose recovery solutions for post Covid-North East India and also sustainable livelihood options.
- Vibgyor N.E. Foundation in collaboration with Kokuyo Camlin had taken the initiative to revive dying traditional art forms. Sora Painting, a traditional art form which is slowly dying in the Barak Valley region, was showcased by various artists through an art camp during the Summit.
- AIR GUN SURRENDER ABHIYAN: The Foundation felicitated Arunachal Pradesh Forest Department in recognition of their effort to stop indiscriminate killing of birds in that State through the ‘Air Gun Surrender Abhiyan’ initiative. The initiative has spelled new hope for conservation to protect and conserve the rare, unique and endangered wildlife of Arunachal Pradesh by inviting people to voluntarily surrender their air pistols. Over 2,000 weapons have been given up voluntarily since the launch of the initiative. Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Ashwini Chowbey, who was present during the felicitation, urged that the entire country should follow this model for a better future and assured that the Northeast states would be provided with all possible help in protecting the region’s rich biodiversity and wildlife.
Jungle Trail: The foundation along with Eco Vansh, conducted 2-day nature walk in the Inner line Reserve forests in the Dholai Range, where various group of nature enthusiasts from all age groups and discipline took part. The aim of Nature Walk was nature exploration, awareness and conservation of eco system.
